After the success of the first edition, which took place last November in El Molar (Madrid), in which 50 women of up to five nationalities participated, the organisers have announced a new date, place and programme for what will be a very special edition.

Biketravel Fest Badlands Edition, May 15-18 in Gor, Granada, Spain

From 15th to 18th May 2025, Gor, a village in Granada located between the impressive forests of the Sierra de Baza and the reddish ravines of the Gorafe desert, will host the RARE FEMMES Biketravel Fest Badlands Edition. Gor has become a point of reference for lovers of adventure cycling: every year, it is the protagonist of Badlands, one of the most attractive ultra-distance races on the current scene and considered the wildest challenge in Europe.

Guided gravel or MTB routes, with options for short and long distances

Taking advantage of the variety of landscapes offered by the area, the organisers have designed very different routes for each day. In the Sierra de Baza, you will ride through high mountain landscapes, Mediterranean forests and spectacular ravines. In the Gorafe Desert, considered one of the most unique environments in Europe, the tracks run through its impressive badlands, sculpted over millennia by erosion, creating an incomparable landscape of ravines, canyons and geological formations. Both routes will be guided by a female cyclist who will be paced to return to Gor in time for the afternoon’s activities. In addition, short and long distance options will be offered, so that each participant can enjoy at their own pace and taste.

A meeting for women to have fun, share, learn and connect

Biketravel Fest is a festival about bicycle travel, with a wide programme of activities led by women. Thanks to the support of Gor City Council, the event will have multiple facilities for its different activities: there will be a camping area with access to toilets and showers, a catering area for the meals included in the registration fee, air-conditioned multipurpose spaces for the workshops scheduled in the hottest hours of the afternoon and outdoor areas, such as the bullring, where there will be yoga classes, documentary screenings, meetings and inspirational talks, as well as other surprises.

More than 60 women have already bought their tickets, available at a price of 140€ on the RARE FEMMES website. The ticket includes the tracks of the routes and guides, access to all the activities of the festival, dinners, breakfasts and Sunday lunch, camping space, welcome pack, participation in the raffle of products of the sponsors and access to the WhatsApp group of the event.
