Routes
Friday
Short route
We propose a gravel route divided in two parts. We start riding on wide and quiet tracks, with a progressive climb of about 22 km and about 330 m of elevation gain. The terrain is easy to ride and very enjoyable, going through pine forests to the Mirador de Narváez where there will be a van waiting for you so you can avoid the last kilometers of the climb.
The second part of the route begins a long and fun descent of about 24 km, with more than 900 m of negative elevation gain. The road follows forest tracks in very good condition.
The route has about 45 km and +450 of elevation gain. It is advisable to bring enough water and food, as the route is long and there are no refreshment points.
Long route
A 60 km circular route starting and finishing in Gor, with a positive elevation gain of 1,225 meters, this route will take you through forest tracks, mountain trails and gravel areas, through pine forests and scrubland typical of the sierra.
The route combines demanding uphill sections with long, flowing descents. It is advisable to bring enough water and food, as the route is long and there are no refreshment points.
Saturday
Short route
A surprising route that starts with tracks in good condition with Sierra Nevada in the background to reach the desert of Gorafe where the reddish colors become the protagonists.
Just over 40 kilometers with +500m of elevation gain.
This route passes through Gorafe where you will find bars and a small store to refuel.
Long route
A spectacular route through badlands, canyons and unique rock formations, in an arid landscape of wild beauty. You will have to choose between the panoramic views of the Geopark of Granada or Sierra Nevada.
Just over 60 kilometers and +900 elevation gain.
This route passes through Gorafe where you will find bars and a small store to refuel.
Who are we

Berta Moya
organizer
Berta discovered the pleasure of cycling around the city in 2010 while studying in Melbourne. She became fascinated by classic bikes and had fun learning how to fix ‘old’ bikes. For the last couple of years she has discovered bike trips (and the pleasure of having gears that work!) and wants to help as many women as possible to get into bike commuting.

Celia Martín
organizer
Celia Martín has as her motto “life is cooler if you ride a bike”. Her natural way of getting around is by bike, to go to work, to go to the countryside, to travel… and when she is still (rarely) it is because she is planning and designing the tracks of her next trip.

Cris Maristany
organizer
Cris is a communicator who, through her bicycle trips and the videos she makes while pedaling, seeks to inspire and make women and the LGBTIQ+ community more visible. Her latest adventure, a three-month trip without a plan, in which she has let life and the bike guide her way.

Laura Rincón
organizadora
Laura met bike travel by chance in 2016. Since then, she has traveled by bike in Europe, Southeast Asia and Taiwan, always with the idea of spreading bike travel to reach as many women as possible.

Daniela Rodríguez
Daniela is a dancer, percussionist and teacher of Colombian origin, she is an instructor of Pilates, Hatha Radja Yoga for all ages and has taught classes of stretching and physical training for dance, she has also developed workshops of consciousness through movement.

Yoli Díaz
Yoli is a woman passionate about biketravel and filtered specialty coffees. She owns a specialty bike coffee shop with a, of course, bickepacking version. She is an SCA-certified brewing barista.

Wendy
Wendy has been involved in cycling most of her life. First as a guide for summer camps for kids on the coast of Maine (USA), later as a bike messenger in San Francisco, California, and now as International Marketing and Media Coordinator for Ritchey. She came to Granada for 6 months… that was 15 years ago and now, together with her husband, she has made it her mission to promote gravel riding in southern Spain.

Aviva
Aviva was born hungry! Fortunately, she was already camping in diapers and learned to love a good dinner cooked over a campfire. Now she has perfected the art of cooking on (several) stoves while traveling by bike. If you travel with her, good food is assured even in the middle of nowhere.

Marta A.
Marta discovered his passion for cycling in 2011. It was in 2017 when he decided to take it a step further, taking his first bike trip through Belgium and the Netherlands. Since then, whenever she can, she tries to explore by bike, her favorite way to get to know the culture and people of each town, city or country he visits.

Maya
Maya is an all-round sportswoman, her passion is cycling but she also practices triathlon. She has participated in several Paralympic games as a guide, has been world champion and holds a Guinness record.

Lael
Lael is an ultra endurande bike rider and racer. She started commuting by bike when she was 20 years old. Within a year, commuting to work turned into riding across the country and then around the world.
She recently cycled around the world in 108 days, 12 hours and 12 minutes, setting a new Guinness female record for the fastest round-the-world bike ride.

Maripepa
Mari Pepa’s dream was to travel by bicycle. In 2006 she bought her third bike, this time with panniers, although she wasn’t sure where she was going to go. In June of that year, a friend of hers suggested to go to North Road to Santiago. She thought that if she proposed it was because she saw her capable. And so it all began. A few years later she has traveled through many provinces of Spain, Portugal and France and continues.

Gema
Gema still remembers the yellow Motoretta on which she learned to ride a bike and never got off. She broke screws, untightened gears and fell many times but today the experience has taught her and she loves that other women also play at being a mechanic..
