They say friends are the family you choose, and that a three-day weekend feels like a long weekend. This one will feel too short. Short? Short because you’ll want more. More routes. More workshops. More talks. More dinners. More dancing. More surprises. More biking. Welcome to your new family.
¿Where?
Gines: the starting point for unlimited cycling
In this third edition of Biketravel Fest, we’re heading to Gines, a privileged spot in the Aljarafe region of Seville, just 12 kilometers from the Andalusian capital. Here, the trails intertwine with history, culture, and the open landscapes of southern Spain. It’s the perfect place to gather the community of travelers and go ride our bikes in all directions, exploring a territory that invites you to travel at a leisurely pace and with a sense of wonder.
From Gines, you can easily access an extensive network of rural paths, dirt tracks, and secondary roads that connect olive groves, farmland, and villages with their own unique character. A welcoming environment brimming with possibilities, ideal for enjoying bikepacking in its purest form.
The surroundings
The sevillian Aljarafe
The Aljarafe landscape is gently rolling, dominated by olive groves, fields, and old estates. We’ll cycle along accessible hills and historic paths with views of Seville and the Guadalquivir Valley. The combination of rolling terrain with a variety of routes will allow us to adapt the rides to each person’s pace.
The Guadalquivir Valley and the southern roads
As we approach the Guadalquivir Valley, the landscape opens up and the horizon becomes more prominent. The roads stretch out between vast agricultural fields, fast tracks, and sections where the river sets the rhythm of the region. It’s an environment that invites you to ride long distances, maintain a steady pace, and let yourself be carried away by the feeling of space and continuity.
We’ll be near natural areas and marshes, a beautiful landscape with abundant wildlife that will make the routes a unique experience.
Living history and shared nights
The area around Gines has been a crossroads and settlement for centuries, linked to the trade and agricultural routes of the Guadalquivir River. This past is still evident today in the network of traditional paths, the rural buildings, and the organization of the territory, which continues to revolve around the countryside and local life.
When night falls, the rhythm changes. The plazas, the common areas, and the pleasant climate create the perfect setting to share experiences, plan routes, and enjoy the communal living that defines the spirit of the Biketravel Fest. A moment to pause, listen, and connect with other ways of traveling.
Bikepacking territory
Gines and the Aljarafe region have established themselves as an ideal destination for adventure cycling. Their extensive network of rural roads, low traffic density on many of their routes, and the possibility of linking routes of varying lengths and difficulty make them perfect for bikepacking and bicycle touring.
This year, Gines hosts the third Biketravel Fest, transforming itself for a few days into a meeting point for female travelers and cycling enthusiasts.

Useful information
About the routes:
- The routes are mostly off-road; we recommend gravel or mountain bikes.
- There will be guided and self-guided routes; we will share the tracks before the RARE FEMMES BIKETRAVEL FEST begins.
- All participants must have their own GPS or app to follow the tracks, as well as basic tools and spare parts for their particular bike. We strongly recommend bringing a spare derailleur hanger, brake pads, a first-aid kit, and snacks.
- We have options for all levels and are open to beginners, but if you have absolutely no cycling experience, you must contact us before booking.
- There will be short and long route options, ranging from 50km to 70km.
- This is not a competition but a magical three day weekend of rides for all levels and multiple activities at base camp to learn and build community.
Base camp:

Q&A
I've never traveled by bike, is this event for me?
Yes, absolutely. The main theme of RAMMES BIKETRAVEL FEST is bike travel, but it doesn’t matter if you haven’t traveled before, the important thing is that you’ll leave wanting to do it 🙂
What type of bike should I bring?
The routes will be mostly off-road on gravel tracks. We recommend a gravel or mountain bike. It’s very important that the bike is in good condition.
Can I bring an electric or a road bicycle?
We’re very sorry, but road bikes aren’t suitable for this festival due to the type of routes we’ll be riding. If you need to bring an e-bike, please contact us beforehand at hola@rarefemmes.com
Can I rent a bike?
There are many bike rental options in Seville.
About the sleeping area
This time, we’ll be sleeping in an enclosed sports center, so we’ll need to bring our sleeping mats and sleeping bags.
And, if you prefer, you can also look for tourist accommodation in the area.
Are the activities mandatory?
No. At a music festival, you choose which artist you want to see. The same applies to the RARE FEMMES BIKETRAVEL FEST. Your ticket gives you access to the full program, and you decide what you attend.
If I can't make it, can I cancel?
We are very sorry if you can’t come, but we understand that these things happen. That’s why we’re giving you two options:
1. Cancel your ticket up to 30 days before the festival starts and we’ll refund 75% of the price. We can’t offer a 100% refund because we’ve already incurred some registration fees.
2. Transfer your ticket to someone else and they can refund you the full amount. Just let us know the change at least two days before the festival starts.
